WTIC/WTXX - TV POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: P/T Graphic Artist DATE: 03/16/09
DEPARTMENT: Creative Services
REPORTS TO: Design Director
ROLE: The successful candidate will join an award winning team of artists designing and creating graphics for a fast paced, graphics intensive news product, local programming and commercial spots.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design/create graphics for newscasts, specials, commercial and promotional spots, and other projects.
* Work closely with news producers and reporters to insure complete and accurate graphics.
* Provide assistance during news pre-production edit sessions.
* Work with production crews during live and pre-taped productions.
* Maintain graphics library including animation and still files.
* Position requires performance of other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
* Adobe Photoshop experience a must.
* Experience with Adobe After Effects highly a must.
* Art/Design education required.
* Must provide sample reel of work.
* Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
* Proven ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and manage multiple assignments.
