WorkinCT: More local businesses looking to hire qualified candidates

The City of Waterbury, Bishop's Orchards and Electric Boat are all hiring.

More job openings across the state as employers look to build their workforce.

The City of Waterbury is looking for a school inspector and a school maintenance supervisor. 

People interested will need certifications. The city is looking for someone with eight years of experience in building management and/or inspections. To apply, you can go view the online application here or get an application from the city’s civil service office at the Chase Municipal Building.

Bishop's Orchards in Guilford is looking for temporary farm workers, from now until November 1st. Duties include seeding, weeding, cultivating and pruning. You do need 1 month of experience in order to be considered. You can apply at the nearest American Job Center or online by clicking here.

Electric Boat in Groton is hiring for a number of positions, including a lead bonder, engineers, planners, and quality control analysts to name a few. Qualifications are dependent on the position and internal employees can search for employee only job openings. Click here to learn more.
