GROTON, Conn. — Police responded to Eastern Point Beach Friday afternoon on reports of a body floating near the approach for the Thames River.
The man's body was taken to the Office of the State Medical Examiner for autopsy and to be identified.
The City of Groton as long as the New London Chief State's Attorney's office is investigating the incident.
On September 3, police identified the person as 37-year-old Javon Reynolds of Hartford. Police say the death does not appear to be suspicious.
