Daytrippers: Flying high at IT Adventure Ropes Course

It’s a massive playground in a place you might not expect.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The FOX61 Daytrippers tour went high above the Elm City on Monday morning.

FOX61’s Keith McGilvery and Margaux Farrell hit the ropes course at Jordan’s Furniture.

It’s a massive playground in a place you might not expect.

“You walk in and you see all the lights on, you see the waterfall,” said Shaylee Bean, from IT Adventures. “It is an experience you don’t see anywhere else.”

In the back of Jordan’s Furniture in New Haven, you will find a 4 story obstacle course!

“Sometimes they are scared, and you have to help them out a little bit,” said Bean. “Sometimes they are good to go, up there, on everything, and super adventurous.”

From zip lines to water shows, and balance beams galore, this 200-yard course has something for everyone. And if you’re nervous to give this a try, don’t be!

“Usually, we tell them to start on the lower levels first, start with the ones where there is something you can hold on to, and then the ones that don’t have any sides,” said Bean.

It is an adventure that can easily test your balance, your endurance, and how well you do with heights. But if you’re better closer to the ground, there is a kids course as well.

“Honestly anybody,” said Sal Proto, course technician, “There is no age limit, I’ve seen people from 7 years old to 95 years old.”

If you want to try the course for yourself, you can get tickets from $20 to $40 depending on whether you buy tickets in person or online. For more info, go here: https://www.itatjordans.com
