John R. Johnston, a state marshal for Hartford County, left, walks away from the American Crushing & Recycling offices in Bloomfield Tuesday afternoon after posting signs stating that the trucking company is now in receivership. One of the company's trucks was responsible for the fiery crash at the base of Avon Mountain on July 29, 2005, that took the lives of four people. The company used to be called Wicox Trucking. The owner, David Wilcox, did not appear in court this morning after being ordered by the court to do so.
