Health - Autism Rally, Grape Juice, Eggs, Eyelashes

June 5, 2008, 8:33 AM EDT

Does drinking grape juice keep you young? A new study out of the University of Cincinnati found drinking grape juice could help with age-related memory problems. Adults with memory problems drank more than fifteen ounces of grape juice every day for three months.

They showed a significant improvement in short-term memory and learning lists. Scientists think it's all the anti-oxidants -- and anti inflammatories in the juice.

Break out the eggs for breakfast.

Research shows they're a heart-smart choice!

For a while eggs were getting a bad rap because of cholesterol warnings. Mostly found in the yoke. But doctors say new research shows they actually bump up good cholesterol.

Eggs also contain a good balance of protein and fat to help keep you feeling full.

Doctors say just watch how you cook them - don't use a lot of salt, butter or oil.

If you have a veterinarian you love then consider yourself lucky.

Taking your pets to the vet may become more difficult here in the Northeast. Tufts University is reporting there will be a shortage of veterinarians in the next six years. They expect more than 16-hundred empty spots by 20-14.

It's because there isn't enough room in schools to train vets.

Researchers say it could also affect bio-medical research.

It's a look that many women would give an eye for.

And that's what one pharmaceutical company is banking on. Officials at Allergan say they have developed an experimental drug to help grow eyelashes quickly.

They say the drug lengthens, darkens and thickens eyelashes in 80-percent of trial patients.

The drug is a form of a medication used to treat glaucoma.

There are some similar products on the market right now--but they're very expensive-- and sometimes tough to get your hands on.
