A street in the South Bronx neighborhood in New York City on Tuesday. That's where President Obama`s pick for the Supreme Court, Judge Sonia Sotomayor, grew up. U.S. President Barack Obama announced United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Judge Sonia Sotomayor as his Supreme Court nominee, replacing Supreme Court Justice David Souter. If confirmed, Sotomayor, 54, would be the first Hispanic judge to sit on the court.
