Spectators hold up US and German flags as they attend the public viewing of President Barack Obama's speech in the eastern German city of Dresden. After policy talks and a news conference in Dresden, Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are due to travel to Buchenwald, the former Nazi concentration camp where more than 56,000 prisoners died. Obama today swaps the political heat of the Middle East for a solemn two-day mission of World War II remembrance, and a fresh round of transatlantic diplomacy.
