Just three days after announcing he is battling prostate Cancer, Senator Christopher Dodd is fighting another battle, health care reform. Dodd, along with The Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and The U.S Small Business Administrator Karen Mills, are touring the nation to talk about the health care reform bill currently before congress. Today's stop, a forum at a small business in Harford where the owner told Dodd he can't afford to by health insurance for his own employees. It is estimated small businesses pay 18% more for health insurance than larger companies. Senator Dodd says it's time to give the people of America the same health care coverage members of Congress get at the taxpayers' expense.

"Look, I've got a well know prostate at this point, unfortunately, " Senator Dodd said jokingly to a group of reporters, "but someone's prostate shouldn't depend on the condition of notoriety. I've got a great health care plan. I've never worried for a single second when I got the prognosis that one, I could pay for it or that I would get care. That is not the case for most Americans."

Senator Dodd says the Health Care Reform bill would change that by giving people a public option backed by the Federal Government. Some experts have pegged the cost to taxpayers' at one Trillion dollars over the next ten years. Meanwhile, about a dozen protestors showed up to today's event including one who accused Dodd of using is battle with cancer to further his own agenda.
