EAST HARTFORD - Back to back nights, back to back deadly shootings at the same East Hartford apartment complex.

For the second night in a row, police responded to gunshots at 269 Main Street.

Wednesday night, family and friends gathered for a vigil for William Castillo, who was shot and killed the night before.

During the vigil, police say Anthony Williams picked a fight with Brian Rivera, following an argument over a dog.

As Rivera was holding down Williams, cops say Williams' friend, known as "T," fatally shot Rivera in the chest at close range.

Gunfire then errupted between "T" and two others attending the vigil; one a bail bondsman and the other a corrections officer.

In the end, three were shot -- Rivera, the corrections officer in the side and back, and Williams in the right arm.

Police say Williams and "T" fled in a Ford Focus, but only Williams was found with the car on Pratt & Whitney property.

Williams is being held on $2 million bond on several serious charges, including Conspiracy To Commit and Attempt To Commit Murder.

Cops say Wednesday's shooting was in no way retaliation for Tuesday's.

The gunmen in both those cases are still on the loose.
