HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut's consumer protection commissioner has approved an agreement that means refunds to some homeowners for shoddy work done on their houses.
Commissioner Jerry Farrell said Tuesday that more than $55,000 is going to 13 customers of All American Dream House of Hartford or Advanced Home Technology of Manchester and Hartford.
Both companies are owned by Kevin Shields of Windsor. Neither company nor Shields were registered with the state at the time.
Farrell says complaints were filed about windows popping out, leaking and breaking.
Homeowners who are getting money live in Bridgewater, Clinton, East Hartford, Milford, Norwich, Rocky Hill, Southington, Wallingford, and Waterbury.
