Remembering Our Friend Alice
Alice Morrin worked on our Assignment Desk for 3 years. She would talk to people all over to set up stories for the Fox 61 News crews to cover. She talked to so many people over that time and we wanted to give people who may have been touched by her a place to share a memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Morrin Education Fund, c/o Rockville Bank, 1645 Ellington Rd, South Windsor, CT 06074, to help her 2 daughters.

I was really proud of volunteers and all the people of Vernon for this great event on Wed July 29.

Last summer our daughter went missing and Alice was the first among media to respond. She covered our story extensively and called/emailed me daily to see how we were holding up. Our daughter was found safe. I am eternally grateful. Our deepest sympathy to her daughters.

Alice, I never had the chance to meet you, but I want to thank you for being so kind and loving to my daughter Elise and her family, especially Annelise & Zach. All Annelise ever talked about was her friend Shannon. May their friendship be even stronger. My prayers to all of your family.

Fox news, I beg you to cover more domestic violence prevention issues in Alice's memory. Too many women have died at the hands of their abusers. My heart breaks for these two children. You can view my story online at www.the-babysitter.org Please do what you can to remember Alice.

Alice and I ran on the cross country team in high school and became instant friends. Alice always encouraged and challenged others to do their best. I will always carry Alice in my heart. I pray that someday Alice's gentle & kind spirit would take the place of your sorrow. My thoughts are with you.
