Margaux Farrell joined the FOX61 News team in April of 2017, and anchors the FOX61 Morning News weekdays from 4am to 7am.

Margaux grew up in Woodbridge, and graduated from Amity High School. She then attended Indiana University for her undergraduate degree in journalism. While at IU she maintained a 3.8 GPA, and was a 2 year captain of the varsity swim team. She was an All-American, and internationally ranked swimmer.

Margaux has dual citizenship with France, and has competed on the French national team. She swam at The World University Games, was a silver medalist at The 2010 European Championships, and a bronze medalist at the 2012 London Olympic Games.

After competing in the Olympics, Margaux took a year off to focus on getting internships, and field experience. Her first internship was with the WFSB sports department, and from there she was hired as a side line reporter for CPTV.

After her year off, Margaux earned her Masters Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California in May of 2015. She graduated with a 3.9 GPA.

Margaux officially began her career in news by helping launch a brand new morning show. She started on day one of Wake Up West Texas, which aired on KIDY Fox San Angelo, and KXVA Fox 15 Abilene in Texas. She first started as a host of a breaking/trending news desk, and was later promoted to anchor/producer.

After 18 months in West Texas, Margaux was hired as a morning reporter for the FOX61 Morning News.

Margaux is excited to be living, and working in the state she has long called home. When she’s not working you can find her playing with her beloved cockapoo, catching up with friends and family, working out, and enjoying Connecticut’s distinct four seasons!
