The 2014 Big E has broken the all time attendance record with 1,498,605 for the 17 day run. The previous record, of 1,481,917, was set last year. On Sunday, Sept. 28, attendance was 114,897 for that day alone.

Eugene J. Cassidy, president and chief executive officer of the Exposition, said, “We are thrilled to report a new all-time attendance record and we are grateful for the support we receive from the agriculture community of North America and attendees from all of New England and beyond. We look forward to setting new records in the future as we begin planning for our 2015 Big E and our centennial celebration in 2016.”

Four single-day attendance records were noted: Opening day, 71,019, the second Saturday, 170,612, which was also the highest single day attendance ever, the second Wednesday, 89,068, and the last Friday 95,866.
