The experts The Toy Insider show which toys are popular picks

HARTFORD, Conn. — We're a little over two weeks away from the Christmas holiday and FOX61 is helping you get your shopping list all crossed off.

We caught up with Maddie Michalik, senior editor at The Toy Insider for a look at which toys are popular picks this year.

Michalik said the ABC Mouse is an excellent educational choice for children ages 2-8.

"It has an early learning academy designed by experts and there are thousands of activities on there for kids to complete in all different kinds of subjects," Michalik said. "You can play it anywhere. On a tablet, phone or computer and parents can keep track of kids' progress."

The B-Kind Dolls promote messages of kindness and encourage children to be creative.

"There are 5 dolls for kids to choose from," Michalik said. "Each has its own passion and DIY activity that reflects it."

If your child likes to pretend to be a YouTube influencer, the Vlad & Niki Crazy Rocketship Fun Pack might be right up their alley.
