Lamont announces advisors for potential vaccine distribution

The group will be led by the acting Department of Public Health commissioner, Dr. Deidre Gifford, and Dr. Reginald Eadie, who leads Trinity Health of New England.

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont has announced members of an advisory group that will recommend a statewide strategy for distributing an anticipated coronavirus vaccine. 

The group will be led by the acting Department of Public Health commissioner, Dr. Deidre Gifford, and Dr. Reginald Eadie, who leads Trinity Health of New England. Other members of the group announced Friday include medical experts and business and religious leaders.

 Also Friday, state prison officials announced limited social visits for inmates will resume Oct. 15, and the University of Connecticut said all classes will be held remotely during the first two and last two weeks of the spring semester.
