MIDDLETOWN, Connecticut — Just before 3:30 Sunday morning, Middletown Fire Department was dispatched to 311 Main Street Extension for a working fire.

Upon arrival, a working fire was spotted and a second alarm was struck.

Crews did need to go on a defensive attack, due to dangerous conditions inside the structure.

Westfield, Mddlefield, Durham, and Haddam were all called on for mutual aid and coverage.

There are no reports of any injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The fire remains under investigation by the South District Fire Marshals Office and Middletown Police Department.
