It was a busy evening with showers and thunderstorms across parts of CT. There were reports of flooding in Fairfield County and Hartford county. A tornado warning was issued for part of Fairfield county around 533p. A tornado has not been confirmed but the National Weather Service will survey the affected area tomorrow to determine the cause of the damage.

The tornado watch has been canceled for Connecticut. But we are monitoring another round of showers and thunderstorms entering the area. Some of these could produce locally heavy downpours before things start taper off overnight into early tomorrow morning.

After that a decent day is on the way tomorrow with some clearing during the day. By Thursday temperatures spike to near 80 degrees! It's a quick return to some summertime weather before we dip back into fall for a few days. Friday and the weekend are looking good so far with mainly quiet weather across New England.

FORECAST DETAILS:

TONIGHT: Evening storms, then lingering showers into the early morning hours. Lows: 55-62.

WEDNESDAY: Early shower then clouds to sun. High: Mid 70s.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy, warm and humid. High: Mid-upper 70s.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, less humid. High: upper 60s to low 70s.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny. High: Mid to upper 60s.
