HARTFORD -- Saigon Kitchen has been serving up Asian cuisine in downtown Hartford since 1985 and is becoming an acquired taste for many who work and live in the city.
This popular casual dining establishment is well-known for signature dishes, Hot'n Spicy Chicken and Sesame Chicken, which have quickly become favorites of customers for years.
The menu features dozens of fresh options which are the creation of self-taught Chef Nam Tao, who left his native Vietnam in the late 70's to come to the United States.
Born and raised in what was formally known as Saigon, the capitol of Vietnam, Tao named his restaurant after his hometown. He is a third generation chef who uses his creative spirit in every dish he serves.
Tao, his wife Minh and daughter Christina make Saigon Kitchen a family affair.
