HARTFORD - There’s been a lot of reaction to Caitlyn Jenner’s big reveal on the cover of Vanity Fair.
But how does this impact those who have also made a gender transition? How does the transition in the spotlight impact others, and how it is different from their own?
Fox CT spoke with a woman who went through her transition several years ago. Janis Booth was a married with grown children when she decided to transition.
Booth is now Executive Director for the Trans Peer Support Group, with the Connecticut Outreach Society. Both Booth and Kamora Herrington, Director of Youth Programming, with True Colors Inc. sat down with Fox CT’s Erika Arias.
Their insight paints a picture of how things may have been at least a bit easier for Jenner, with a fame and lot of money to spend.
