Greenville, SC (WHNS) — Greenville County Pet Rescue is asking for help after a 3-year-old dog was found with over 40 BB pellets in her face and neck.

Officials said “Angie” is a plott hound, 42 lbs., and may have heartworms. She was unable to walk or stand when she was first brought to the shelter on Feb. 18.

X-rays revealed she had over 40 pellets in her face and neck. She has shown improvements since she was first brought in, however, she is still unable to walk.

She needs to be rescued and officials say those wishing to rescue her should email petrescue@greenvillecounty.org. The shelter needs to find her a new home by Friday.

A three-week-old puppy near Rock Hill, SC was shot 18 times with a BB gun over the weekend.
