NEW YORK — The food crossover craze continues with a Manhattan sandwich shop’s new creation– the Donnoli, a doughnut cannoli concoction.
The outside is a doughnut like pastry with sweet ricotta cheese and cream for the filling with chocolate chips.
The Donnoli is available at Alidoro.
Alidoro, an Italian specialty sandwich shop operating in SoHo since 1986, just opened its second location in midtown Manhattan.
The new location is the only place to get the Donnoli, which is baked fresh every morning. Once they are gone, they are gone for the day.
Alidoro is open Monday through Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m.
You better get there quickly before the hybrid food trend moves on.
