HARTFORD — Former Vice President Joe Biden stumped for fellow Democrats Ned Lamont and Sen. Chris Murphy during a campaign event in the capital city earlier.
The rally kicked off at Hartford Trinity College Academy’s Learning Corridor around 3:30 p.m. with speeches from Rep. John Larson, who has long represented the state’s 1st Congressional District, as well as political newcomer Jahana Hayes, the Democrat-endorsed candidate hoping to fill the U.S. House seat being vacated by Rep. Elizabeth Esty (CT-5) after the November election.
Biden still attended the event and gave a lengthy speech, despite recently being identified as one of the targeted victims from a string of incidents involving homemade explosive devices mailed to prominent U.S. individuals and businesses.
Biden has continued campaigning for Democratic candidates around the country.
