What goes better than football and wings?
Buffalo Wild Wings is the title sponsor of the Citrus Bowl for the second time this year, and to create a completely immersive experience the restaurant chain created a unique new limited time only flavor to honor the Bowl.
Buffalo Wild Wings teamed up with Mountain Dew to create a new sauce called Zesty Citrus. It’s described as having the bold citrus flavor of Mountain Dew, infused with lemongrass and spicy red pepper flakes. The effect is a blast of sweet and spicy, according to the restaurant.
The flavor will be available from December 14 through January 2, the day after the Citrus Bowl, which this year features the University of Michigan and the University of Florida.
“We enjoyed a tremendous inaugural year partnering with the Citrus Bowl, and are excited to welcome two or the most storied college football programs to participate in this year’s game,” said Bob Ruhland, vice president of marketing for Buffalo Wild Wings. “This year, we’r focusing on new ways that help create an authentic B-Dubs experience for fans … watching from our 1,150 restaurants and those following the action online and from their phones.”
