NAUGATUCK — A Connecticut Little League field is a finalist in a Major League Baseball contest with some big prizes.

The Peter J. Foley Little League Stadium in Naugatuck is among six fields from across the country chosen for the Little Field Big Experience competition, which is sponsored by MLB and the Scotts Lawn Care company.

The field is the oldest Little League park in the state. It was built in 1949 and serves teams in Naugatuck and Middlebury.

The winning field will be chosen through a vote on the contest’s website. Fans can vote for their favorite field through Thursday.

It will host a party featuring Major League mascots and food and will receive a complete field makeover.
