The biggest freshman drama in more than 20 years is heading back to the small screen in just a few weeks, but for those who missed the first outing of “Empire,” there’s a chance to catch up!
FX will air all 12 episodes of season one of Fox’s debut hit on Monday, September 7 from noon until midnight.
The show’s second season debuts on Wednesday, September 23, and you can catch new episodes every Wednesday on Fox CT at 9 p.m.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the hip-hop drama broke a ratings record that has stood for than 23 years five weeks into it’s first season. The record was for growth in viewers for primetime scripted series; it was the first time a show had gained in total viewers for each of its first five telecasts since at least 1991.
Nielsen revised its measuring system 23 years ago, “and so, comparisons can only be properly calculated that far back,” meaning it may have been a lot longer since a show had performed that well.
At the end of the first season, it was revealed that total audience grew for each of the 12 episodes.
