HARTFORD — Hartford Police are investigating after an incident Saturday night where 30 to 40 juveniles looted a Shell gas station.

Around 10 p.m. Saturday night, Hartford police say 30 to 40 juveniles entered a Shell Gas Station at 335 Capital Avenue after going to a party in the area.

There, they started to destroy property and loot it of mostly candies and snacks. They then left the store and the owner closed. The damage was valued at $4,000.

An adult and a  juvenile then entered the store and proceeded to take items in the store and damage property. When officers arrived, the store owner identified the men.

The adult, identified as Travon Shirly, 20, of Hartford, fought with officers and was subdued. He was arrested. One officer received minor injuries. The juvenile was processed and later released from the scene.
