BRIDGEPORT — A multi-family home in Bridgeport has been evacuated after heavy flames broke out Wednesday afternoon.
First responders arrived at 1042 Iranistan Avenue around 4:30 p.m. and noticed heavy fire from the rear of the building and a person hanging from a third-floor window.
Firefighters were able to remove the victim from the house with a ground ladder.
Officials say a second alarm was called due to the volume of fire and high humidity.
There were no injuries reported, however one occupant and three firefighters were taken by ambulance for evaluation.
According to officials, displaced residents are being taken care of by the Red Cross.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s Office.
