NEW HAVEN -- At Yale University, the Peabody Museum is known for it’s dinosaurs and art. Now, the two are being combined near the New Haven Harbor.

An oil drum near the harbor was a big white eyesore, that is, until Bayla Arietta got involved.

According to David Skelly, director of the Peabody Museum, “This is certainly the most prominent work of art we have around New Haven now.”

A replica of the museum's famous "The Age of Reptiles" mural by Rudolph Zallinger has been seen by thousands of road warriors since 1997, since it used to be painted on the drum. However, came down in 2014 , when the oil drum needed a paint job and maintenance.  Now, two years later, there's a new dino in town.

Arietta is the artist, and painted a mural that depicts a Deinonychus.

The new 72 foot by 36 foot mural, like the old one, is expected to last 20 years.
