OLD SAYBROOK–Spring is a time for weddings, graduations, and, of course, proms!
But it’s not just teenagers and young adults who get to have all the fun–seniors do too!
Residents at the Gladeview Rehabilitation & Health Care got a chance to enjoy the Annual Senior Prom Gala in Old Saybrook on Friday night, and boy did they have fun!
The prom is held in May as part of National Nursing Home Week, and was the culmination of a week-long effort by the care center to provide fun activities to the residents.
Prom-goers got to enjoy dancing, live music from local band Night Flight, hors d’oeuvres and “mock-tails.” Family members got to come and share in the excitement as well.
The prom certainly lives up to Gladeview’s mission statement: “People should have a life for as long as they live! That’s why we’re here.”
