ROCKY HILL - A herculean task? Snapping a good picture of a baby or toddler.
"I jump up and down! I sing! I shake things," says JoAnn Marrero, a Rocky Hill photographer who also calls herself a "doulagrapher".
That's because she's often in the delivery room, capturing Mom and Dad's most incredible event. "With birth photography, it's that first moment," Marrero explains. "She reaches out and holds her baby. Dad is crying. A lot of times we have the grandparents there and the shock on their faces."
This mom of two adult sons is embarking on a new endeavor — as a volunteer for Capturing Hopes Photography, an organization that offers free photo sessions to parents of babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
