NORWICH--It took 32 games for the Yard Goats to come "home," but the team is back on Connecticut soil.

The new Hartford baseball team played in Norwich, at Dodd Stadium, on Thursday night for the first time. That is the temporary "home" base for the team until construction is completed on Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford.

Despite the distance, some fans showed up to support the team in its game versus the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Unfortunately, the "home" team lost 5-3.

Games are currently scheduled at Dodd Stadium through May 26, and Dunkin' Donuts Park is expected to be May 31. However, that date may be pushed back depending on construction.
