NEW HARTFORD, Conn — Officials say a child was alert and conscious after he fell from a ski lift at Ski Sundown in New Hartford

The child who fell 15 feet, was a 5-year-old boy. Along with being alert and conscious, he also didn't appear to have serious injuries, police said. The child was wearing protective gear at the time of the incident. 

The child was wearing protective equipment when he fell from the lift. 

Police say the victim was released for a broken arm.
