WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Some folks may need to re-think their commute Monday morning, especially if they're going through West Hartford.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation says the scheduled closure of the Exit 40 on-ramp from Ridgewood Road onto I-84 in West Hartford will begin on April 5, 2021. The closure is expected to last for approximately 7 months, reopening on or before October 4, 2021.
DOT says the closure is necessary for construction and safety improvements to the I-84 westbound bridge over Ridgewood Road. This is the second and final ramp closure for the new bridge construction.
