EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — A three-car crashed closed I-84 westbound between exits 58 and 57 Thursday afternoon.
Two people on a motorcycle were driving westbound on the highway in the center lane, while a car was traveling right behind the motorcycle. The car then struck the motorcycle, which remained in contact with the car as it stopped on the shoulder.
The two people were flung from the motorcycle and the driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries. They were both taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital too for minor injuries.
