I-84 East in Vernon reopens after tractor trailer crash

State police confirm two tractor trailers were involved and at least one is on fire. Both drivers are out of their vehicles.

VERNON, Conn. — I-84 Eastbound was closed Friday morning due to a truck accident. The road has since been reopened.

The closure was between Exits 64 and 66, the area of Hartford Turnpike.

State police confirm two tractor-trailers were involved and at least one is on fire.

CSP said no serious injuries have been reported at this time.

Vernon officials tell FOX61 that both drivers were out of their trucks when police arrived.

A traffic camera in the area has captured smoke coming from the scene.
