WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Interstate 84 Eastbound at Exit 39A in West Hartford has been shut down and all traffic is being diverted to Route 9 Southbound following a motorcycle collision late Thursday morning.
At around 11:18 a.m., Connecticut state police Troop H responded to a report of a collision involving a motorcycle.
EMS and the local fire department were also dispatched to the scene. Possible serious injuries have been reported and an ambulance took one patient to an area hospital, according to state police.
CT DOT is assisting with traffic. The CSP C.A.R.S. Unit is responding to assist with the investigation.
State police said "they cannot anticipate the duration of these closures and ask that anyone traveling in the area please seek alternate routes and plan for traffic delays."
