ROCKY HILL, Conn. — Officials are cleaning up and investigating after a tractor-trailer crashed down an embankment this morning on Interstate 91 north.
The crash happened in Rocky Hill just before exit 24. The right-hand lane and shoulder are currently closed and more lanes may be closed as they pull the truck out.
Officials said that they had received a call around 3:30 a.m. for a car vs tractor-trailer crash.
When they arrived on scene, first responders saw a tractor-trailer had crashed through the trees down an embankment with the driver outside of the truck.
Officials said he refused medical treatment.
Containment devices are out to contain any potential diesel spill.
No crashed car was found in the area so officials said it may have just been just the truck that crashed.
