A Florida woman was killed in a crash Wednesday morning in Wallingford according to State Police.
Kristie Ann White, 44, of Homestead, Florida, died after the Honda she was driving on I-91 north crossed into the path of a pickup truck, striking it, drove on to the median strip, and flipped over several times before crossing over the guardrail and coming to a stop in the southbound lane. I-91 north was closed between exits 13 and 14 with the left and center lanes closed southbound. The highway saw nearly three miles of delays due to the crash.
No one in the truck was injured.
State police said, "Any witness to the collision is asked to contact TFC Ruppar #1140, Connecticut State Police Troop "I", at 203-393-4200 or timothy.ruppar@ct.gov. Furthermore, if you were driving through the area of the collision at the time of the crash, and may have footage recorded on a vehicle equipped dashboard camera, you are also asked to contact TFC Ruppar #1140."
