Office of Tourism asks Connecticut's visitors to 'Find Your Vibe' as summer season starts

It’s the latest campaign from the Connecticut Office of Tourism to attract more visitors to the state.

OLD LYME, Conn. — As the unofficial Summer season begins on Memorial Day weekend, prospective visitors to Connecticut are being encouraged to “Find Your Vibe.”

It’s the latest campaign from the Connecticut Office of Tourism to attract more visitors to the state.

“It’s about color, personality, and just fun and it’s highlighting the things you wouldn’t necessarily know about Connecticut,” said Maribel La Luz, the director of external affairs for the Department of Economic and Community Development.

The more than $3 million campaign is set to run from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day with an array of television, billboard, and social media ads. La Luz said the efforts to sell the state are far-reaching.

“We’re going to be in Canada, we’re going to be in Ireland, we’re going to be in the UK, in Germany, we’re going to be all across the 50 states. We’re trying to share that fun with as many people as possible,” La Luz said.
