MANSFIELD, Conn — Nick Spriggs has a knack for exploring the great outdoors.
“It is one of the best feelings in the world,” he told FOX61.
At The Adventure Park in Storrs, Spriggs and his team are welcoming you to clip in for the fun.
It's a self-guided adventure park made up of bridges, ladders, and zip lines.
A new black diamond experience is in the works and there is also fun for kids too.
“For the real littles we have an adventure playground, which is really fun which has all of these elements that are up high, but only a few feet off the ground,” Spriggs added.
If you’re better on the ground you can try ax throwing too.
“I think for a lot of people it is a stress reliever, a lot of people have been cooped up inside with the pandemic,” park staffer, Scott Stake said.
FOX61's Keith McGilvery and Dan Amarante visited for a DayTrippers adventure and had some success after a lot of practice.
“I have seen people throw axes for an hour and missed 100and they got their last ax in,” Stake added.
Three hours at the park cost adults $49 and kids $42 at the door. However, you can save some money if you book your experience online.
“I want people to have fun with it, experience the challenge and have fun with it,” Spriggs said.
