NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Avelo Airlines out of Tweed-New Haven Airport announced it is adding a new non-stop Florida destination to its list.
The airline already provides stops to Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, Palm Beach, and Tampa.
Now, it will be adding Sarasota to its roster.
Introductory one-way fares start at $49 and are available on their website. The flight will operate three days per week beginning Jan. 13, 2022.

"With low fares and convenient nonstop service, passengers will have an affordable connection between two high-demand destinations. We look forward to welcoming Avelo Airlines to SRQ and we’re confident their service will be a great success and expand in the future."
The flight will operate Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The flight will depart at 2 p.m. and arrive in Florida at 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday. The flights on Thursday and Sunday depart at 3:55 p.m. and arrive in Florida at 7:05 p.m.
Return flights operate all three days as well. On Tuesday, flights will leave Sarasota at 5:50 p.m. and arrive in New Haven at 8:40 p.m. On Thursdays and Sundays, the flights will depart Sarasota at 7:45 p.m. and arrive in New Haven at 10:35 p.m.
Avelo is the first airline to offer nonstop flights between HVN and Florida. Avelo’s arrival to HVN also marks the largest expansion of service at HVN in more than 30 years.
