With today starting off gray and damp and many of you will think, "oh here we go again." But we should be more successful at getting rid of those stubborn clouds (than we were Memorial Day). It will take longer for the clouds to break at the shoreline than for inland communities. Once that sun comes out, it'll be nice and summer-like... Even a bit humid!
Temperatures will be climbing into the 80s for some inland, 70s at the shore.
Wednesday looks similar, with clouds and fog leading to afternoon sunshine. Temperatures yet again may be topping out around 80 degrees for many inland towns. This time of year, the shoreline is rarely warmer than inland CT due to the influence of the cool water of Long Island Sound.
Thursday we may once again find ourselves stuck in the overcast with areas of mist and slightly cooler temperatures.
The next chance for showers and thunderstorms will be Thursday night into Saturday morning as a series of frontal boundaries move through. We could get some heavier downpours through that stretch before drying out Saturday afternoon.
