CONNECTICUT, USA — The Connecticut River is falling, but water levels remain high. Recent rain and snowmelt upstream have caused the flooding. This has affected ferry service in Rocky Hill and Chester-Hadlyme. The river is forecast to drop below flood stage in Hartford late today. Downstream it may take until Wednesday or Thursday.
Today will be another nice day with sunshine, dry air, and high temperatures in the upper 60s.
During the middle and end of the week, a slow-moving front approaches from the west. It doesn't look like this will bring a lot of rain, but we will turn cloudier beginning Wednesday.
Showers are possible Wednesday night, especially in southwest Connecticut. Scattered showers are likely on Thursday.
There is another chance for showers on Friday into Saturday. While it will be a close call, we might be able to dry out in time for the weekend.

FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy. Slight chance for a shower, but looks mainly dry. High: Around 60.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. High: Upper 50s.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy. Slight chance for a shower, but looks mainly dry. High: Upper 50s.
