Western Washington Forecast

Cooler but still sunny and warm Tuesday with some smoke haze. Showers and cool Wednesday but drying out and warming up for the weekend.

Mostly sunny on Tuesday with hazy sunshine due to wildfire smoke. Cooler with highs in the low to mid 70s. Good to moderate air quality. Light winds.

An area of high pressure over the western United States will give us another sunny and warm afternoon across Washington today.

The offshore winds will continue to push wildfire smoke into western Washington. This should keep air quality moderate east of Puget Sound and near the Cascades foothills, but it should improve for most places later today as the onshore winds begin to increase.

Overall today should be another sunny day, but it will cool about 5-6 degrees from Monday. However, look for bigger changes Wednesday as a weakening cold front pushes into western Washington. This will give us a few showers in the morning and more in the afternoon and evening. Rainfall amounts will vary but most places in western Washington should get 0.10 - 0.20 inches, and most of the fire areas will get rain as well.

Only a few showers around on Thursday - most places will get through the day dry. Look for afternoon clearing with highs in the mid to upper 60s.

Good news for the weekend, though! High pressure begins to build back in again on Friday and over the weekend for warming temperatures with highs Saturday, Sunday and Monday back into the mid to upper 70s!
