Motorcyclist identified in fatal Vernon crash involving multiple cars

The driver of a white Infiniti that collided with the motorcycle ran from the scene, said police.

VERNON, Conn — One man is dead after a crash in the Rockville section of Vernon Tuesday afternoon. 

Vernon police officials said 25-year-old James Faulkner, who was riding a motorcycle, was killed in a crash involving a white 2018 Infiniti Q50 and two parked cars, including a 2005 Subaru Legacy and a 2015 Kia Optima. 

Police said they are looking for the driver of the white Infiniti, who has not been identified, after they ran from the scene.

Prospect Street between Elm and Thompson streets was closed as police investigated the crash.

The roadway was closed for several hours but has since been reopened.
