My son was involved in a motorcycle accident and was taken to the hospital with severe road rash and basically a hole in his arm. He was given pain pills and told to keep it uncovered and scrub it daily, but no antibiotics.
A couple days later he ended up back in the ER and surgery on the infected wound.
Is this malpractice for not prescribing proper care or antibiotics?
