HADDAM, Conn — Another person has died as a result of a bus stop crash in February. Police said that Pedro "Pete" Esquilin died Friday due to his injuries sustained from the crash. He had been in the hospital since the crash.
On February 12, a car slammed into a bus stop on Dixwell Avenue and Wooden Street around 5 a.m.
Police said the driver of the Jeep was Pinky McBurrows, 31 of Ansonia. They said she tried to run away after the crash, but an officer caught up and arrested her. She appeared in court earlier this year.
