CONNECTICUT, USA — Seven Puerto Rican events across Connecticut, including parades and festivals, are planned for this summer, the Coalition of Connecticut Puerto Rican Parades and Festivals announced in a conference Wednesday.
The coalition announced its full schedule of events on the year, making it 60 years since the first Puerto Rican Day parade occurred in Hartford.
The full schedule includes:
- Boriken Festival of Eastern Connecticut - Saturday, June 15
- Festival Puertoriqueno De New Britain - Saturday, June 22
- Puerto Rican Parade and Festival of Fairfield County - Sunday, July 14
- Meriden Puerto Rican Festival - Sunday, Aug. 4
- New Haven Puerto Rican Festival - Saturday, Aug. 10
- "Borifest" Puerto Rican Festival and Parade of Waterbury - Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 14-15
- Greater Hartford Puerto Rican Parade and Festival Del Coqui - Sunday, Sept. 22
