WINDSOR, Conn — A Windsor High School student was arrested after being found with a facsimile firearm in the school on Thursday, police said.
Officers were called to the school just before 11 a.m. for a report of a student in the bathroom with a handgun.
A lockdown was placed on the school as police responded. Lockdown was lifted 30 minutes later.
During lockdown, officers located the student, who had a fake firearm.
The 16-year-old student was arrested and charged with breach of peace. the teen was then turned over to a parent and is scheduled to appear in court.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
